In particular, FAR 25 (Federal Aviation Regulations), CS-25 (Certification Specifications), RTCA-DO-160, and MIL-STD-810 are the primary references for testing these systems.

Landing gear and wheels are generally subjected to static loading, drop tests on fixed and moving surfaces, strength tests, fatigue tests, brake tests, and tire burst tests. Additionally, life cycle tests are performed for critical components of these systems, such as hydraulic actuators and valves.

Different types of test systems developed for landing gear and wheels must include high-precision and high-speed control and data acquisition systems. During testing, force, rotation, vibration, and strain data are dynamically analyzed, while deformations are monitored using high-speed cameras.
