Durability and Life Test Systems are advanced platforms designed to evaluate the resilience of electric vehicle batteries against environmental and mechanical stressors. These systems simulate real-world climatic and mechanical conditions encountered when the battery is integrated into a vehicle, enabling power draw operations and allowing for the detailed assessment of battery performance under authentic operating scenarios.

These systems expose batteries to a combination of temperature, humidity, and vibration conditions, replicating harsh environments to assess operational durability. Load is actively drawn from the battery while these variables are simultaneously controlled. The systems are fully compatible with the battery’s power control unit and utilize internal load banks to safely dissipate the drawn energy. Furthermore, previously recorded road data can be replayed within the system to perform accelerated life testing under simulated driving conditions.
